i just got my motor in my truck a few days ago and for some reason my ecm won't tell my alternator to turn on like it should. i don't think you can wire it straight to a switch because of it being ecm controlled it must have to be turned on and off often to regulate amps with rpm? anyway everything else seems to work and run fine just no charging system, so does anyone know were to find another besides a dealership? dealership cost is over 1500, but if i have to i geuss i have to. so i was also wondering has anyone on here tried to put a 600 ecm on a 555 motor? didn't know if there was a defferent fuel map between the two or a totally different harness setup? because if i have to get one from the dealer i would rather get that my smarty will make 170 hp with instead of 130. any input would be great
