Well that is what the dyno is for! To see what your truck likes the best. If you are running TNT, and have x2 pressure turned up, I like the TST set on tt05 (late twins program) 2/0. Some can get 3/0 most can't. Then you are adding too much duration and your egts will skyrocket!

You can also try it in reverse. Some folks have had great luck running a base smarty program at 30-50hp and using TST for power on the top end. Something like 7 or 8/3 on the TST.

That is what the dyno is for, to find out!

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your truck. It just need's about 1 hour or so of trying different settings on the dyno. What exactly were you going for? You said you were dissapointed with your low numbers, but when I read your thread you didnt max out yout settings. It seems like you left alot of power on the floor by not increasing the settings.

If all you want is something in the 700's then the SmartyTNT stacked with a pressure box will get you there safely.

Last time your SW7 was too low, try SW#9 (+230hp) and your TQ Managment was also set too low (TM#3) next time try (TM#4) I also saw that you didnt have your rail pressure maxed. I dont reccomed the Quad for obvious reasons (Search) but if your still gonna use it the max it out or get a MP* at 100%, or a EZ, or puck.

Just by doing that you should be well into the 700's

Now if you want to step to 8XXX's you can triple stack by adding the TST and use that for duration. Talk to solozoo he knows all about the triple stacking the TST to use it for duration.

The only other part id look into is your maxed out single stage 3 cp3. It sounlds like your gonna need duals to finally make you happy and in the 8XX's

P.S Is your quad box pressure only or a non pressure box? cuz its bad to have the Smarty adding pressure and then your quad adding pressure also. Heck loose the quad on a few pulls and she how she does. Smarty/TST can make over 1000whp on a 03 so

goodluck

Dude don't be bummed. I dynoed 722 and my friend 738 and our trucks are identical except he has stage 3 floor it pump and I have duals, the rest of the mods are flux 4.3's twins 62 over 480 etc. I think our issue is that chitty internal wastegate on the secondary charger, that ***** is gone. Mike could only build 64 total psi with my truck and it coaled something terrible, I need to get the boost up and so does my buddy. Last year at fall brawl I made 780 with same stuff except I had Flux 3.3's Jay

Dan
His cp3 is not maxed out and is not the limiting factor if it's operating correctly.

you need a better pressure box. (mp8 or EZ)

You'll pick up 40hp ++ just getting your rail pressure up to 26-27k.

If you aren't seeing full boost on the dyno, you need to run on a dyno that can load you properly.
I dont think a "better" pressure box is the answer, I saw a 55hp gain w/ the X2 over a Smarty. I think level 4 or 5 would have helped maybe and run the Smarty TNTR w/ SW7, RP stock, TM 4 timing 3/4....

Well I think I would benifit from duals once he is in the 800's and maybe give him an extra 30-50whp

Wow i havent seen any single cp3 truck break into the mids7s and low eights. My stage 2 before the twin cp3s was maxed out at 610 hp. Thats a huge jump!! I should have looked into a stage 3 before i shelled out the dough for twin pumps. 800hp on one pump, impressive.

Whose pump were you using? Not all stage2 pumps are equal. I did 585 on a stage1 and know that 700+ is capable on a stage2. Don't know the numbers for sure from an actual example, but I'm pretty sure a stage3 will take you to 800hp. Those are Floor It pumps.

My stage 2 was done by floor it. I think its a waste of money after i watched luvncummins lay down 620 with a stock pump this was at bully dog last summer. I am dynoing my truck this sat. for the first time since the dual pumps went on. I am excited to see what it does.

If your EGT's are low fuel is the holdup.

The Floor-It stage 3 has enough fuel for 800Hp....Setup provided....
Make sure (positive) that you at least have 15psi lift pump pressure....You can run more lift pump pressure with a single CP3....I would for racing applications.

As opposed to some other production years the 2003 stacks very well with the Smarty/TST, but you had better know what you are doing...Easy does it until you do.

The MP8 is the best pressure stack, but too much pressure will do bad things. Stacking the TNT(R) and MP8 can and will generate more pressure than you want...I believe 2003 injectors are more prone to pressure related issues.

If you are willing to live with injector noise you could run Flux 4's or 5's. I think the 5.0's will optimize/maximize your current setup, but I hate the rattle they (and the 4's) make....They may run better in the 2003...Ask Tim Barber or Don himself.

Add another CP3 and You could run 6.2s....A far better all around injector in my experience. The problem here is that the turbo sizing may become an issue....

The 6.2's make enough torque to pulverize billet shafts....Careful what you ask for....You just might get it!

While I have no thought of doing what you guys are doing I have enjoyed reading this thread. Good on ya.

I have a couple of questions how daily drivable are these trucks? If the roads are wet, snow/ice? How do they tow, any egt issues?

Bigman please post your numbers from this Saturday.

kdbvulcan have you done all the work to your truck yourself or do you have a local shop that helps you? The reason I ask is I'm looking for a shop in So Cal I can take my truck too.

Thanks again guys interesting reading. Lots of good ideas and minimal bickering.
