So it's seems like the import guys are always getting weighted shift ***** to help with notchy shifting and just to help overall smoothness from a shift..

That's awesome, do you know off hand what the threads are on our shifters? We've got some extra stainless

Not sure it'll help on your G56, Mark - they already shift like greased lightning!

I know they do shift nice!!

but I was bored so what the heck

I just got back from a test drive..it works great!!! it really cleaned up the shift..but it IS too big I am going to turn it down some more and try again.

now the reverse detent is barely noticeable
it's so big I am afraid it will bounce out of gear tho so I will turn it down some more. I feel it really makes a big difference is the smoothness and quickness of the shift

to be continued.....

Did some more on my lunch break...I think I will leave it like this. I test fit it a few minutes ago(just in my drive way, no test drive) and it feels and looks way better..it's still so heavy I had to drill the bottom out, I think I will drill some more and call it good..I guess I should have snapped a installed pic too

I like this shape better than the V 2.0 that you made, could you just shorten it up to cut some weight????????????????????

this version looks weird on the shifter...the tapper looks way better once it's on. version 1 looks a little out of place IMHO.

I weighed the **** tonight it came in at 2.5-3.0 lbs but I am not 100% sure of the accuracy of the scale I used....I will try to find a better scale to compare.

That's fine for sled-pulling, but you might want to machine a lightweight brother out of titanium for the quarter or your ETs are gonna suffer!

the lighter it is the harder it will be to shift......with this **** I can pull the gears with one finger...fast and smooth

a titanium one would weigh the same as the stock plastic piece
