Well for the past 2 days, I have had this annoying rattle/ticking coming out of the middle of my exhaust. Thought I dropped a valve and was a little worried. Also, might have been injectors came to my thought since they are still the stock bodies with 100k+ on them. But every time I would rev it up, the rattle would come from the Twins.

So today, I finally took the 62/71/13 off the manifold for the 1st time. I have had slow spool up and a bad exhaust leak since I bought this turbo :bang . I did find out that the exhaust leak was in fact from the waste gate plate. So I took it apart to use some gasket sealant on it.

And I ended up finding the puck broken off. . So I would assume, this resolves the rattling/ticking from the middle of the exhaust. But now, how do I find a replacement? Also, there is a crack and a little chunk of metal missing. Nothing bad since it isn't going to the other side.

Where to find a replacement and get my truck running by Thursday? I need this thing running for the Redding event.

Dang Joey hope ya get thing going man!! That crack would have me alittle worried.... might give ED a call! But I thought HTT had a fix for that wastegate issue??

 

I as well thought that HTT had a fix for the waste gate. Only one way to find out if I can get it in by Wednesday. I was thinking about calling Chris @ E.D and having him send me a waste gate and a thicker plate. I am worried about the crack, but not too worried. I am planning on going to the 14 housing when money allows. Since I will need a new hot pipe as well.

Make some calls Buddy and see what Llyod or anybody else says.
