Does this mean we are not going to get the software to tune these units ever? Or do they intend to take care of the people who bought the c5 tunable versions? Pls advise.

Pat, that is exactly what I have been trying to find out. But Simon at VA is not man enough to handle this professionally. He would rather let us wonder. Rumor has it he has even tried to sell the design to a competitor. Obviously counting on him is out of the question.

Hey Imills,
Sounds like Simon is a real piece of work. I've met guys like that before in construction business, just move, change phone numbers, start a new business (they make it a incorporation so they're not personally responsible) Wonder why he hasn't changed his cell number yet? Bet he still is trying to talk/scam somebody-what REALLY p.o. those guys is to talk to prospective business partners that they are negotiating with-you'll get all kind of righteous indignation there! And the partners appreciate it cause no body wants their personal integrity on the line with that kind of person.

Richard, George- We are currently working with someone else for the tuning software. It is very close. The funny thing is, this person is moving very fast with the process. Kinda funny how they are doing it so quickly when VA had problems. Like I mentioned before, the problems at VA started at the top of the ladder. It was not the engineer that designed it. It was lack of funds to do it properly. The guys that worked the C5 project were very good, they just did not have the properly equipment to work with.

Wow, Imills, that'd be awesome if we could get this box to work. Do these people plan to start their own version of the C5 or how do they plan to use the existing C5's out there, do you know? How do they figure their business on -are they going to put another name on the c5?

Lloyd, are the new folks going to take care of the people that payed in advance for the software? I bought mine direct from VA last year, so I guess I'll probably be out in the cold on this.

Richard, if the tuning software comes to life, it will be on a private venture most likely. I am not sure what is going on with VA at the time.

I was planning on buying a V5 box for a 2001. Should I still do that or not?
