Why not give valair a call and see if they will help you out? It hasn't been in that long and if you had problems from the get go they should take care of it.

from my first hand I went cheap on the clutch on my last truck and it was a mistake. if I ever end up with another stick truck I will for sure get a south bend. ive heard it stated that the valair can hold 600hp as a single disk clutch I find that hard to believe. I had one of the baddest LUK cluthes I could find and it held 6 months max with about 500hp

Well Valair is unproven at this point, but my brother (WF0) will be running one this year in his truck so we'll see. I know there is no comparison on price thats why my brother will try a Valair.

I'll bet that your rear main is leaking a little oil. No way that clutch will not hold what you have. Must have an oily flywheel or you some how damaged it back when it was first installed with the disengagement problem. I'd still call Dan, he gave me a free upgrade when my organic 13" started to slip 2 months after install. The FE is wicked, I have it. But if by chance it is toast, all you got to do ask, he is still trying to build his reputation so at the very least, he'll cut you a deal on a double disk.

I'm pretty sure what they are saying is you can't be trying to sled-pull with a single disk clutch and expect it to last. I own a Iron Giant Southbend clutch, the first one failed because of some bad material and they sent me a brand new one they have been good to me. But if Valair can build the same clutch for half the price I know where my next one will come from. Competition is a good thing.

you might want to really check with some people on here. ive heard much more good about SB than valair. search the thread where valairs owner was going around acting like jo blow just talking about how good valair clutches are and then he got caught. if you have to do that to sell your product then its not the best. i havent had a valiar so i dont know but from what ive seen on various forums there not up to par like SB
