Ive been trying to download the aftermarket injectors/turbo programing

and keep on getting this message

"Adobe Reader could not open SMT4V409D308D47.7z because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (ex. it was sent as an email attachment and wasnt correcetly decoded)"

Can somebody dumb this down for me I have no idea what this means

the last characters are .7z that is the file extension. it is a new type of zip program. you must first download the 7zip program from 7zip.org, unzip the smarty file to a directory of your choice, that will change things to a .smt file extension that the smarty usb program recognizes and it will work.

 

winrar will also work in extracting the files.

 

zilla, I downloaded the "4.51 beta for windows" 32-bit, from 7zip.org

yes, i had to go and look, been awhile since i downloaded it myself.

 

Somehow, I think I got it working. Changed it to a smt file by luck and now the smarty usb deal says its going to take 38 mins to load. (does that sound right?)

Hopefully the aftermarket injector programing helps out with the smoke/timing rattle on all the odd #s. The soot all over the 5er is really starting to p me off
