Error upgrading Smarty
We double-clicked on the SmartyUSB.exe file. We clicked run, then clicked send. We selected the .smt file. It says "Erasing memory, please wait." We wait about a minute then an error pops up. It says, "Error erasing memory on Smarty." The Smarty itself says, "Memory Erased." Lovely. What next? The only issue we seemed to have was the driver was loading automatically (we have Vista). We stopped it by accident somehow. We unplugged the Smarty and it seemed to run again but the driver didn't appear in the Smarty folder like the video. Not sure if that's a Vista thing or something went wrong.

Don't panic on what has happened.
I can't tell you exactly what happened in your situation, but I can tell you that Bob Wagner can help help you get everything right. I would suggest contacting our own CEO Lary Ellis (Top) here at DTR on the toll free number and see if he can give you Bob's e-mail.
Or you can also contact a Smarty Dealer like Tim Barber @ "TRE Diesel".
Tim is one of our Banner Advertisers here and can also help you out.
I can tell you that I have NEVER seen a situation with a Smarty or Smarty Programming that Bob or one of his dealers couldn't fix!

I figured it out on my own. The directions will NEVER work if you use Foxfire as a browser. I changed my default browser back to Explorer and it downloaded fine.
Went through the same thing with mine about a month ago. Was in contact with BOB and he said I needed a newer driver to make it work. I tried to download the newer drivers but it did not help me. In the end every time I walked by [prob20 times] I would hit send and it eventually took.
