Ah, Take a chill pill. Why not try to explain where the upload is failing, that way many of use on here can get you on the right track. Which version do you have? The regular 06 or the 06 with POD?

If you're trying to update the Smarty it's self, it takes awhile to do the download. As far as loading it back onto the truck, less than 10 minutes. Personally, my highway mileage is up from a stock best of 18.5 to 19.98 with the Smarty.

I agree with what Totallyrad and Lary Ellis (Top) have tried to tell you. The Smarty's Programs may take a little longer to download, but I have never had any problems with mine at all. And my mileage has gone up with the addition of the Smarty too. But,....to each his own.

Smarty is the easiest thing to update, I deal with alot of computer stuff at work and this is cake. Just dl 7zip onto the computer, when you click on the file you want to take from smarty site and download, save it to computer, then right click on that file once its saved and it says 7zip on that list, click on it and extract here, then when you plug in smarty what ever it says on the computer right afterwards just click no or cancel. Then open up the smarty dl application that you should of downloaded on the smarty site. Hint it looks like a little smarty. Once that is open, click open file and take the smz file that was extracted and open it in the smarty, then click start. Takes about 10 seconds total to start downloading, but might take 10 minutes to actual upload file to smarty.

You've spent the money, i'd at least say take enough time to learn it, and give it a chance.....if you still dont like it, then by all means, go back to SuperChips...everyone has they're own preference...

Update time:
5 Minutes from Smarty to Truck
30 minutes from PC to Smarty
There's been 2 06 software updates in the 2 years i've owned the
truck...to me this isnt a deciding point for a power adder???? Confused
on this one.

Power:
Your statement that it dynoed 8 hp more than the SC just shows that you don't understand squat about the smarty.....guessing you were on Revo with Default Settings.....there's a whole lot more than that available and a whole lot more power than an SC's ever going to give you.

Fuel Mileage:
I get about 17.5mpg - 80% City/20% HWY...don't know if it's good or bad...depends upon mods, driving habits,....i know it meats my expectations for the power i have and the weight of the truck....

Actually your actions were childish not silly. If you wish to insult members, find another place to do it.

Sorry to hear your having trouble getting it going though. PM any of the guys showing that they run a smarty, they will have some info to help you get rolling.

I pulled a superchips off a customers truck and it took FOREVER! i had my smarty offloaded, smoked 3 and had a can of coke and then his was finally off. he was like, what are you waiting for? LOL... I smiled and said, my smarty is already off my truck waitin on superchips to get off. Smarty does take a bit to update (off of the computer) but when it comes to the truck, it is quicker than 99.9% of the downloaders out there.

I had trouble the first time. I printed the instruction . Like the one Larry provided with pictures. Then went to the mads site and started the process. Every time I had a question I just looked back at the print out.

good luck

I have the Regular 06. I think what happened is when I connected the smarty to the computer, I clicked the wrong stuff when the window opened up. Instead of clicking cancel or whatever, I told it to find the file or whatever the computer recommended. Does that make sense?
