I have to go to Boise Thursday to pick up my Twins from Nathan and my bottom turbo is a 80mm s400 and the top is the stocker for now!! Are you sure it was $2600?? Seems high the whole kit including powdercoating and hightemped pipes was $3100....

Yes the lag!!! It is an awesome beast in it's own right but the towing I do I think it was just too much!!! I allready miss the beast but Nathan says the twins will be a little more power and tow alot better!!!

Without a doubt.

The "plan" is to either sell my SPS 66 and get a 62 or 64/12/13/14 of some sort or just sent my 66 in and have it reworked. Use it as a top turbo and run an S400 of some sort under it. I dont know much about turbos and there are so many variations of the S400 I dont know which one but I think that will be the turbo I use. I should get a lot better spool up, lower egts, and have a lot more air. That combo should be good for an easy 7-750 and I dont plan on goin over 750. However if I did, I could just get the turbo(s) reworked again with differant wheels, etc, and have more air.

Now my dilema is if I should go for more fuel, ie, sticks and cp3 or more air.

The price isnt gonna be that much differant but I am not sure wich to do first.

Keep in mind

I believe Relentless' set uses pop offs to relieve excess boost and I don't know if Idaho's comes with a external wastegate or not,.. but I know Nathan can put one in that setup so you have infinite adjustability of boost,.... which should make it more tuneable.

Anyone with the PDR towing twins kit, is a HX35 HT3B setup. 973604x4 had that kit on his truck, I'm sure he would tell you about how they ran.

I did a bunch or reading last night on the Arctic air and the Idaho twins setup and wow. Makes my last comment look pretty ridiculous. I have seen RCCox's #'s and all of the raves about this style of setup and I think my mind is made up.

If I could just find some quality pictures of this setup and how they went about the piping and wastegating and so forth all I would need is the turbo.

i just got an email from brandon at II, they dont have anything that uses the stocker and the 62.
their towing twins uses a 62, and a 66. so it looks like i will have to get a 66, but then i have to replace my turbo mount pacbrake with a remote unit. so my costs would be higher.

You realize that the turbo setup that RC is using now is not the original Artic Air. I don't know if Chris (Relentless) is calling it Artic Air in this larger turbo setup or not but it does NOT use the oem turbo. He is running a modded 35/40 with the HT3b,... that's according to RCs post over on Comp Diesels site not long ago.

You need a manifold and intake too.

Chris, I am no turbo guru but if I was gona run twins there is no way the 66 would be my big charger. I think a K31 with your turbo or an HT3b woulb be a much better choice. I doubt you would see enough improvement to justify the cost. IMO you would be better off just to get your 62 bumped up to a 64.

Jrussell = I couldnt find his profile. Maybe they deleted it?

Out = I realize RC is running a different setup now but I would be happy with 7-800 range with the type of investment were talkin.

Will = I'm just gonna change the stainless intake I built and I'm tryin to decide if it would be too much work to build a stainless header. Im just having a little trouble with how I want to support the weight. I dont think that 0.087 stainless tubing will hang 2 turbos without eventual cracks. I've been looking at any extra bolt holes on the block to mount a bracket.

I know it sounds jimmy-rigged but it will look good if I can just get it all to function right.
