Turn signals vs headlights?
Turn signals vs headlights?
Lately I've been noticing a lot of Rams with one headlight out when the signal light is on; ie when signaling a right turn the passenger headlight goes out, and vice versa.
I've noticed it enough to wonder if this is being done on purpose on the newer models ? Or is this the side-effect of some poorly thought out modification?
I actually got out of my truck yesterday to confirm that the signal light has no effect on the headlights in my '04.
Anybody else noticed this?

This is normal. It is actually designed that way. It only happens when the headlights are turned off and the daytime running lights are on. It allows better contrast to see the turn signal in daylight. If the headlights are on, they will not go out with the turn signal.
