Turbo upgrade [suggestions?]

I am looking for a turbo that flows more air and spools quicker than stock turbo.I have a G56 6 spd. and I need it to spool quicker due to drop in rpms when shifting. What do you guys think of the HTT 64-71-13?

That's gonna flow more, but won't spool as quick. If you want to it to spool faster than stock you aren't gonna want to go with bigger than a 62 wheel and most people will argue that it doesn't spool faster than stock, but it is comparable at least.

I know it sounds like having your cake and eating it too right? I would probably have to go with Auroa's multistage turbo to get the best of both worlds.

A better option would be Twins, but there are turbos out there that will flow quite a bit of air and still spool relatively quickly. Just depends how much power you are looking to support and what you are looking to do with your truck

What are you doing with the truck? The Super B is a great spooling turbo and if you out grow it you can upgrade into twins afterwards.

You cannot get faster spool and more airflow. With turbo charging, there is give and take. Spoolup is very closely related to compressor size. Larger heavier compressors will spool slower but flow more air.

what would be a good turbo for the street, no towing, no pulling, say looking to get low 600's if possible. Arson cp3 kit, 90hp injectors, would it be possible and still be cool

I would think a 64/65-13ss would fit your needs perfectly, you will get spool closer to a 62-71 with a little more flow. This applies for georgeboy and you 06Mega. IMO of course.

our stock turbos at 9cm spool very fast because they are small, but the top end is where we lose. I think the 12cm housings on early my 01 for instance was great I loved it. I guess if we could only change the exhaust housing to a 12cm or so like all these aftermarket ones already are would we be set?

A 62 will not support 600 hp. I just put a HTT 64/71/13 on my 06 this weekend and i love it. I am using it for the same things you are. It's my daily driver and i don't tow or pull. Strictly for street fun. My goal is a 550-600hp daily driver. Very happy with the 64 and i don't think i lags in the low end as bad as people said it would

Who has the best price on the HTT 64-71-13? What kind of boost does this turbo produce? Who has the best price for the Super B? What kind of boost does that one make. Thanks

The super B is the only turbo that will spool close to your stock turbo. The problem is, it only has a 57mm compressor wheel whereas your stock turbo has a 60mm compressor wheel.

The super B does have a larger exhaust side so it does breathe better but it lacks the airflow for more than 450 HP. Many guys have pushed the stock turbo to 520 HP and beyond. I don't think the stock turbo will last a long time at over 500 HP but it does spool the fastest and its free!

I believe I will go with a HTT 64-71-13. Tim said he could send me one for 1800.
