With your new sticks and the G56 you will be golden with the 64/71/13ss. Auto's are much trickier.

I liked my Super B, was night and day compaired to the stock turbo, daily driving it spooled faster, towing it had more boost, if you want something to spool faster than stock it might be a great option. But like the others said it does have a ceiling, the 64/71/13 will move more air, but spool faster, no way. The only way to get your cake and eat it too is with twins.

Hey good choice georgboy. Tim is a great guy and HTT is a great turbo. I also noticed that my EGT's are significantly cooler since putting this turbo on.I don't think that you will be dissapointed with it.

If you have the extra cash Id go w/ twins. If not Id stick w/ a 62/71/13 or II 62/74/12 (normally comes w/ a 14cm housing, but you can order it w/ the 12 for faster spooling)

What kind of boost levels are some of you guys seeing with the 64-71-13? Is there anywhere I might find the turbo a little cheaper? I am thinking Tim Barber is going to have the best price on the HTT. Thanks.

I have priced out that turbo and tim had the best price by far. I can peg my boost gauge at 42. I'll say it again, if you plan on tyring to make 600HP, it will get too hot with a 62. Unless you run water/meth. I was debating the same thing and figured that i would have to go with the 64 if i planned on putting some 90 horse injectors on

so 42 is the most you get out of it, thats kinda disappointing if thats all it has. I might just go with a 66

How bad is the spoolup on a 66 turbo? HTT makes a 66 correct? What is some of the boost numbers you guys are making with the 66?. Right now I am pushing my stock turbo to 46 psi. I know that the turbo is straining with that much boost lol.

It is set at 42psi from the factory, it can see boost numbers in excess of 50psi and still be in its effeciency range. The volume it puts out over stock is what makes it so much better, the boost doesn't have to be sky high to be effecient at what it does.

With the right fuel and programming it will be acceptable, if you tow it won't be ideal, but its really gonna be your discretion, some ppls bad is worse than others. Don't expect it to be a quick spooler, but the top end will blow you away on a 66.

yeah of course i know that if it makes the boost more efficiently and cooler than its will make more power at the same boost level. I just thought he said he maxed out of 42 being efficient and to me that would seem too low. If it makes about 50-55 and is still efficient then that sounds good

I am interested in this 64-71-12, I understand that I will have to order the turbo with a 12 cm housing. I think that will be the best turbo for my truck right now.

I would opt for the 64/71-13ss, a little more pricey but worth it for the better wastegate design and a little more flow, plus better heatsink materials for egt control and quicker cooling. JMO

That is all he is getting because of a lack of fuel.....

I am sorry but I have to disagree with this. That is why there is an extended tip compressor wheel. The mass is less than a large wheel, but by extending the tips you are able to move just as much air as a much larger wheel.
