turbo? Help
Bent shaft, bad bearing, etc.
SPEEDSHIFT (Bodie) tuned the wastegate down a bit and so far so good.
You are probably making a little contact with one of the housings or the shaft is a little tweaked and at higher rpm makes the 'siren or howling' noise because it is out of balance. You may be wondering; how, when did this happen, and what did I do? Forget it. Fix it and move on. Everything mechanical can fail. Forget about that stock turbo. Send it in, and expedite everything.

I said; give me the keys and we'll fix this in the near future and I'll keep my foot out of it. I have of course replaced it but have the original turbo and it does have about this much end play.
Have you pulled off the intake boot and checked for play yet? Sorry could not remember.
My guess is...based on how strong your truck has been running and how often you like to use that power...turbo is wasted. It does not take much to throw off something that spins 30,000 rpms on a film of oil.
62, 64, 66's (S300 based) don't live a long life on HEAVY fuel. They work nice...for a while...but don't last if you use that power daily.
Great tow turbo...and dyno queen, but not a 500hp plus daily driver.
Get it fixed...and upgrade the size a little...it will make it last longer the second time.
BTW...I was getting that same sound my last 1000 miles out of my A5k.

Oh well. The water/meth doesn't stop the EGT's from rising nor does it drop them, it just delays the rise of them which works for me.
