ok iv been playin with the timing a little and when it died on me the other day the timing was on 18*, and it did it again today in my driveway also on 18*, what could be going on there? and i keep gettin p0336 but i hear thats common with the tst so...

My TST has occassionally changed the settings for timing. When it does it will set timing to SET instead of AUTO and no matter what the timing is that makes for some pretty hairy rattle at idle/low rpms. 18* might just be enough to kill it at idle. First time mine did that I did not have a clue what was wrong. Took it to my performance guru who narrowed it down to the TST. Now when I hear the gawd awful injector rattle I know what to look for.
Mine has not done it in proably 6 months now. I do get a P0336 once a month or so. That one I just clear and ignore. Have gotten that one regularly with the last two TST boxes.

Try giving TST a call, could be a bad harness!

TST says that 12 degrees is the best for there setup, you might be pushing the timing a little high and killing it, and the code you get they told me was common too, they said that around 1200 rpm on a decent load like a hill or something will do that.
