TST problems

I installed a TST PowerMax CR on my 2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 Quad Cab about three months ago, I have had the same problem happen to me 2 times. I usually run the PowerMaxCR settings on 3x3 or 4x4. Once during a road trip, I stopped for fuel and when I got back on the road I noticed my truck surging and smoking. When I checked my PowerMaxCR settings, the horsepower was still set on 4 but the torque setting was at 255. I thought the setting only went from 0 to 9. I had to physically pulse the setting back down to a setting between 0 and 9. This has happened one other time while I was driving around town, the horsepower number stayed where I set it but the Torque setting is getting some arbitrary number.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem with this box? Mark at TST says they have not heard of any problems of this nature and the whole setup may have to be taken off and sent in for troubleshooting.
Any help would be appreciated..

Mine changes also but only 1-9 and only on restart. Both hp and tq settings change but usaully only one or the other. It's gotten alot worse this summer than it was last winter.

I called TST(can't remember who I talked to wasn't Mark) and they said to unplug remote and see if levels seemed to stay put. The remote seems to be the problem and may need to be reprogramed. So far all is good.I have gauges on pillar as well and temps and power are what is expected. I feel confident enough to send in remote and hopefully get this worked out. It sure will burn your clutch if tq changes when pulling and you floor it.

Maybe this will help.

I had a TST on a 2000 24 valve truck and it did the same thing only it didn't have the tq setting. Hope they get this figured out b/c I'm super happy with it other than that.

Thanks for the info. My problems are on restart also. Sounds like I'm not the only one with this happening. I have just started checking the HP and TQ settings every time I get in the truck, it's inconvenient and time consuming when you need to get somewhere and you have to spend time resetting the remote. It has been the TQ setting both times for me, and both times the setting went to 255. Takes time to pulse that tiny remote back to a reasonable number. Thanks again!!

The power setting changed several times on me. Torque setting never changed but the power setting went to 9 one time and this was while driving not on restart. I talked to Mark and they replaced the remote. No problems since.
