bigsmoke3500 I had the same problem when it was on mine because I had it turned up to high and I was running out of fuel, I put a lift pump on and it went away. If you turn the rail pressure gauge on watch it, it should be around 26,000 at WOT, when I had the stock lift pump it was at 8,000 at WOT even on level 2-2 no RP added. so my guess is put that raptor on there and let her rip.

Yeah mine just did it a little bit ago but it just sputters one time just enough to notice it but thats it. I dont think its anything to worry about cause mine only does it when i'm lugging too.

You have your rp set on 6? If so I'd definately turn it down that could be causing the spit and sputtering. Sometimes my tst just adjusts itself and my rp got put on 8 and it was spitting and sputtering bad.

Why does the TST powermax cr r49 sometimes adjust itself? Several times mine will have different settings (settings I'd never dare make).

Tst

got to love the auto adj the TST does, before I start mine have to go thru check make sure all the settings are were I left them. if you dont you drive off and the next thing you hear is timming knock. mine goes to set timming +15. I would not plug the rail pressure in, I would just plug them togeather so your rail pressure does not change. I have heard they have a fix for the above but yet to get my TST back.

Does TST Products ever post on here to explain their product's auto adjustment feature?

Mine did it again yesterday. Rail pressure was up to 6. Power level went from 3/2 to 8/2. Crazy! Is it a bad ground connection? I went through all connections several times (it's tight, baby!). Still did it. Not too often, but when it does happen I dig my fingernails into the steering wheel and sing "had a bad day". . .

Mine also changes levels. At first i thought i was just nuts!!!This sometimes happens. I'd hop in take off from a stop light and the darn thing would be on 5/5 after running on 1/2.

I have had a TST since they were 1st available for the 2004.5 and have never had this happen. It must be from the newer software versions. Mine does not have adjustable timing or rail pressure. Mine is in the 1000 range for serial number and has never given me any trouble.

Would like the rail and timing adjustments on the TST but was part of the reason I got the Smarty.

Send your tstr49 to TST and they will reprogram it for you. I was having the same problems with it changing power/tq/rp. Sent it in and had it back in a few days, no more self adjusting. They are also working on the rail pressure (surging)issue with upgraded cp3's. I talked to Mark and he says he thinks he has it fixed. Something about changing the voltage the fca receives from ecm. Hope this helps.
