True Flo VS Cold air intake
I have the true flow drop in and downtube kit....didnt notice a hp increase on otherwise stock truck, but egt's are down (150+ with tru flow and cat back exhaust)....THis month's diesel power has an article (it's poor) on air intakes....basically say's they all dyno the same..+/- 2 hp from stock....no mention on egt's....
I liked the true flow for the following reasons:
1. < $400
2. Its a foam filter (like my 9 dirtbikes have (uni))...and I have confidence that it filters well....
3. No hot air ingestion like some of the aftermarket intakes
4. It's a minimal air intake / turbo whine increase over stock

Here's my Airbox mod. Still running Fleetguard paper filter. Noticed an EGT reduction when towing. No mileage difference. Cost was $8 from Home Depot.
