When I race I run in 4Hi all the way until I have slowed down and am ready to turn off the track. I'm pretty sure it is not going to release 4wd when you shift out until you have let off the throttle enough. Not good for ETs. I also don't think I would want it to do some kind of half shift at WOT. Just my .02.

 

i switch out of 4wd somewhere before 45 although it doesn't unlock the axle til let off the throttle completely. guess i should probably switch out after the run is complete but i've just always done it the other way.

 

I had the low end torque option turned on but I don't like it and turned it off. It doesn't seem to give any more power or torque but it makes the throttle MUCH more sensitive. So driving around you have to be very careful with the pedal, in other words, 1/8 throttle does what 3/4 throttle used to do. Too sensitive for normal dtiving and I noticed no difference in the tranny.
