Smoked my southbend dd last night. Two hooks on it. I'm looking for a streetable triple. Is that an oxymoron?

 

WOW!!!! You smoked a dual disk???? You'd have to be pushing some SERIOUS HP to slip those!!! Are you sure you slipped 'em to the point of ruining them? Just really curious to see if that happened with your mods.

 

I'm almost positive it's smoked. I pulled twice. Once in four low once in fifth gear low. I would never think of pulling in fifth gear low range but it was basically a mud pit. It rained a lot and some trucks had trouble even getting the sled moving. They just sat there and spun. But on my second pull I got the truck moving with no problem. By the middle of the track I was flying! At the end there was a huge mud hole. I hit that with a huge head of steam. The truck snorted and stopped for a second then I was done. After pulling out of the arena the truck no longer goes into gear while turned on. The clutch will not disengage. I have to basically shift without the clutch. When I come to a stop and push the clutch in I have to hold the brake to
Keep it from moving. I have been very easy on it so it won't slip. Sucks because I was pulling the sled out of the gate on that run.

 

I slipped the clutch for maybe two seconds before I was all the way out of it both runs.

 

That sounds smoked to me....
