I am going to be installing my lift pump this week and I am wondering where the easiest place is to tap a wire to trigger the relay to turn on the new pump. Should I tap the factory pump wire or is there an oil pressure switch wire I can tap somewhere? Whats the easiest on my 05. Can anyone tell me what color the power wire to the factory pump is?

 

should be orange with a red tracer/stripe.
you can do it any place you like it runs from the tank along the frame rail to the PDC
