Looking at the picture on PML's website, it looks like there's a boss next to the drain plug that can be drilled/tapped. Drain the fluid (use a clean catch can - you can re-use it), then drop the pan, and drill a hole through the center of the boss. Use either a 23/64", 11/32", or 5/16" drill bit (listed in order of preference - the 23/64" is the closest to the recommended hole size for 1/8" NPT threads), then tap the hole with an 1/8"-27 NPT pipe tap. The sensor will thread into the hole. Replace the pan, re-fill the fluid, make sure the newly tapped hole doesn't leak (tighten it more if it does), and hook up your wiring.

IMO - it's kinda cheap of PML not to provide a pre-tapped hole with a pipe plug.

thanks, i figured it out the black plastic spacers on the fittings confused me i don't know what they included them for. i threaded the 3/8" fitting into the boss, worked great.
