I was just wondering...if stock rims are 8in wide and h2 rims are only .5 inch wider, why do so many people use them. Just the look?
I cant see how just a 1/2 wider rim would fit the 315/75/17 better.
It is a good looking rim, by the way.

The BFG manufacturer rim specifications for the 315/70R/17 A/T is 8.5-10. Mounting the 315 on a narrower rim than specifications can create cupping, out of spec sidewall pressures in certain conditions, etc. That said I have had BFG 315s on stock 17x8 wheels for over 32,000 miles. A little cupping wear, but not too bad. Everything else has been fine.
The H2 rims are a little more offset to the outside so you don't get the rub associated with 315s/stock rims. The rub w/ the stock rims is very minimal though and I only have the H2s because they were cheap and they were fully chromed.SWEEEEEETTTT!!!!!!
