trans temp?
With my stock 48re I would see 140-150* empty or light load driving highway. In city stop and go 100* outside temp it would get to about 170-175*. Seems to me your trans temps are very normal. I think others have posted to start worrying when trans temps get to 220* and above for extended period.
Sounds to me like your sender in in the pan as is mine. The problem with this is that you are measuring temps after the oil goes through the cooler. Your temps are definitely normal but you should probably add about 30-40 degrees to your readings to get the actual "Hot" oil temps.

What temp range are you guys getting with the sender in the hot line to the cooler ? I plan to put mine in this weekend. I was going to use the govern port in the trans.

My trans temp is in the hot line to the cooler. I did not ever tow anything heavy so I dont know about that. When it was stock with light load and city driving I never saw it above 180*. Have completely upgrade TC/Trans for racing. It seems to run a little warmer cruising now, maybe 10* or so.
