I am buying all my tranny parts(tc/vb,servo etc) elsewhere is there anybody that I can trust to do the install and set it up in Calgary area.

I've been looking for tranny as well. Dominion Transmission is supposed to be very good in the Calgary. They will be doing my Georend in the near future. I have aq friend who knows the owner who is also supposed to be a great guy.

 

Another vote for Jim at Dominion - they're a great shop and they stand behind their work.

He installed my BD torque converter, valve body and flex-plate.

Yup, i spoke with Excell as well. Very knowledgeable and took the time to discuss his build. Seem like a great shop as well.

 

I know Excell isn't in Calgary but working with Mel is worth the drive!!!

 

Got my goodies in today, just booked my install in with Excell. I hope it's worth the commute.

 

would you mind keeping me in the loop on this?

my tc is starting to slip in OD and i can see a ebuild in the next year or two. wouldn't mind knowing where you got all your goerend parts from and how much. also how much for install and anything else you can think of that would be pertinent.

I didn't buy Goerend parts I bought my parts from
http://www.transtechca.com/ in Winnipeg. Very knowledgable staff and really decent pricing.

My TC/VB is a custom build from them.

 

I just dropped my truck off at dominion friday, and I'm gettin a pretty good deal, I know one of the owners son. Ill keep you guys posted on how she goes for me

 

any news guys, excell or dominion? which one? dominion is in town so much easier if something breaks.
