towing heavy, programer?

i tow alot, my truck is my work truck as well as personal...have a predator for couple of years now, i keep it on the 2nd program it says no towing over 8,000lbs but it happens...looking at the smarty would like to get somthing just for towing...smarty? which one or just keep predator till the stock tranny blows

I have an Edge Juice w/attitude tow anywhere from 12-13k when fiver is hooked up never had a problem except too much power had to up grade to a south bend clutch no problems now.

because of smarty S06 options and adjustability I'd switch. You'll never have to post a thread like this again IMO.

There are two reasons they say not to tow with the higher settings. One is because EGTs usually rise with the higher power level and the other is that a stock trans may not be able to handle it. If you address both of those issues then you can tow on any setting you want (within reason)

going with the smarty sr with power on demand?, because of as stuff starts to go wrong with my truck soon, i will be replacing with aftermarket...i still have stock trans 48re with 152k..i just baby it everywhere i go and whatever im pulling
