Towing with 50HP injectors on stock tranny/turbo

Is this something I need to worry about? I am installing Scheid Lightning 50 injectors on an otherwise stock truck. The turbo is brand new and the tranny has been "refreshed", but is stock. The trailer I tow is a 30' TT that weighs in at around 6500lbs loaded. Am I running on borrowed time? I only tow once a month and run it for economy, not to "win it" This is my first time with the 48re.

You shouldn't have a problem but I would recommend getting some gauges to monitor your egt's.

That is what I figure, gauges are on their way. The tranny upgrades are going to have to wait I guess....hopefully it'll hold out long enough

Your tranny will be fine if you don't stomp on the accelerator. Your EGT's might get a little toasty if your going up a hill with low rpm's. If you are going to go up a hill, switch your tranny to "OD off" so your rpm's will rise which will raise your turbo boost. Try to take it easy until you can really monitor things with your gauges.

With just 50's and no programming you'll be fine. All the advice above is good especially the gauges.
