Tire wheel combo question

Hey all,
If I run the 325/65R18 Terra Grappler on a procomp series 7089 18x9 wheel whith 4.75" backspacing with -6mm offset, without any mods to the suspension will it rub. My guess is the wheel will stick out of the wheel well too far.
Might have to go to the 295/70R17 b/c it'll fit better on the rim.
thanks Jamie

You need another inch of backspacing. Look for 5.5" to 6" of backspacing.

Yeah I know. What about a 2" leveling kit, that would fix it right??
thanks Jamie

I have the same wheels with 35 x 12.50 in 17". They rub slightly at the back/bottom of front wheel well opening, and the black plastic "chin spoiler" under the bumper (removed now).

I am sure a 2" level kit would clear ok.

Or you could run a 325/60/18 instead of 325/65/18, I don't believe that size rubs because they are not quite as tall of a tire. bthanks runs 325/60/18s on his truck with a leveling kit and they don't rub. I have heard before that the leveling kit doesn't help with the rubbing issue because they rub the control arms instead of the fenders.

Yeah I would do a 325/60/18 just fine. So if your bthanks doesn't rub with a leveling kit then my question has been answered. Again this is a awesome website!!!

edit just looked at the specs my wheel is 18x9 the 325/60/18 calls for at leat a 9.5 and I don't want to have my centers worn out.

thanks Jamie
