Thinking of getting stack's y/n
I was thing of getting stacks, not sure what flavour yet. Any one have pics or suggestions?? Also can you get them in black or does a guy just get them powder coated?
There are some people who sell them powdercoated black. Other companies sell them raw and leave it up to you to be coated. I will warn you that powdercoat only stands up to about 400 degrees F. And you may have problems out of it. I used to have dual 6" mitres and I'm in the process of installing my 8" single mitre. I used to like the look of duals better but now I'm pretty set on singles.

So what companyhas them black?, would they sound better then my 4" set up now, is there any gain on switching or basically just cool factor..
I will have powder coated gloss black stacks available in the next few weeks.....I would be real surprised if a stack hit 400*..even on a HIGH HP truck...when I temp checked mine the most I ever got it to read was 200* and that was at the bottom 5" neck down..the top 7" section was only 160*I have run my gloss black stack for over a year now and the finish looks just as good as it did the day I installed it.

Really that sounds very promising, so what would a set up like that cost and remember im in canada, just a ball park figure... Are they hard to install??
Yeah my tips could be touched after a hard run and not burn you. When I had my rhino lining the guys were worried that the lining wouldn't stick around the pipe because of the heat, but its been doing good and the lining is rated to 300*.
If you want to see my truck, go to the Aug TOM poll in General discussions and take a look. We need some more votes over there!!!

Sweet man, i have a wood box liner in my box for work would it burn the wood. Im thinking it would most likely burn, or atleast change colour..What type of stacks do you have?
My truck without stacks

My rig with stacks

Stacks have their good and bad points. I cover mine all the time that the truck is not running so that I do not get water in them. If you don't you will blow soot all over your truck after every rain. Also, mine drone really bad when pulling a load. I will not go back to normal exhaust though.

My vote is "no stacks" too.
One stack looks pretty cool but two of them on an inline engine is all show and no go. I might consider a single stack for mine, but only if I never wanted to carry a full bed of stuff or if I never wanted to run a camper shell, or anything else in the future that would get tangled up with it. Plumbing two of them gives no performace advantage and makes you carry extra stuff around just to try to look cool.
On a truck that is primarily just for show and runs around empty all the time, one stack would be cool. Be proud of your inline engine with a single exhaust. Plus the rear fender would stay clean.
