Thinkin' about installing my airdog 150 this week any tips
Probably going to install the airdog this week anyone have any tips or suggestions? Other than the liberty canister has anyone had any sucess conquering the 1/4 tank problem. Oh yeah i know pulling the bed would be the easiest way but i don't have that option so I am going to drop the tank.
Jack the tank up where the straps normally hold it...to replicate it's mounting when in the truck...do it on an empty tank, and make sure you take your time to avoid air leaks and droping it a second time...
I don't have any major insite, but here are a few pics from when I did the install.
I would recommend hitting all the fasteners with WD or other lubricant a day prior (might help).
Probably want to swing the driveline away like I did. Or remove it completely. Before you remove the in tank canister clean off the top with carb or brake cleaner to insure that you won't drop any crud in there. Make sure to lube the push on fittings and the tubing itself with oil before inserting them. They can be tough (you will make grunting noises
). Don't get anything in the lines especially the one going to the cp3......no filtration before the injectors from the pump on. So any bits left in there at install will be meeting up with your injectors shortly. There's also some pics of the grooves/holes that the hangers go in. Can be a bear putting them back on. And of course the less fuel in the tank the better mine had quite a bit and it was kinda heavy.
Enjoy your newfound pressure!

Hope those help if not sorry for taking up space!
