DTT- 48-RE Shift Enhancer

Anyone out there please provide feedback on how this DTT Shift Enhancer performs only 48-RE Aftermarket Trans With up-graded Vavle Bodies and Torque Converters / Billet Input / output, I guess what im asking is if it Resolves the Gear Hunting issues associated with modded 48-RE Transmissions , Does it help reduce or stop the check engine Codes?

I have the DTT Shift Enhanser....it eliminates the 1-2-1-2 shuffle (that i had stock), and probably a few other things??? (got it installed at the same time as the trans)....but it didnt eliminate the 2-3 hunting.....got the spring put in today, it didnt eliminate the 2-3 hunt either.....but they were able to change the voltage regulator setting (DTT Item, not sure if others use a voltage regulator????) and the 2-3 hunting appears to be resolved....

anyone else have one of these? I'm wondering what it is actually doing. Increasing line pressure? Modifying shift points?

I've got one, and it definately eliminated my flaring(cutloose) I was having between my 2-3 shift in 99.9% of my driving. I sometime have the 2-3-2 shift at low speed (28-30mph), but it has been almost completely eliminated with the shift enhanser

The enhanser holds the gear longer, shifting about 200rpms higher, it also increases the line pressure, just not sure how much. Call Dave at Goerend. He set me up with mine. You have to know exactly what pressures your running so you can set up the enhanser correctly.

The shift enhancer is modifying the signal between the ECU and TV regulator so the ECU doesn't throw a fit about out of range values. I am running Smarty with medium TQ management and a few tweaks to the VB. Fixed the shuttle shift at low pedal movement that was a pain without it. Pressures are still to low as the 2-3 shift is too sloppy yet. It works fine just not like I want so time for a pressure hike and shift kit now that this setup works well.

If this bos is a tunable as they claim, its time to get the reflash for OD lockout and just use the 3 settings on the Enhanser.

It modifys the range of TV pressure not line pressure, this is what effects the shift points and shuttle shift at light throttle. There is no provision for modifying line pressure with electronics on a 48RE. No line pressure sensor either.

Talking DTT Shift ehancer 48-Re

Just had the
New Goerend Full Built trans installed yesterday along with the DTT Shift Enhancer, I notice when I first turn the ignition on the Light on the Unit flashes for like 20--25 seconds ?
Then goes Solid Green as to what ever setting it is on.
I have not had a chance to really give a trial yet weather here has been real heavy rains tropical storm going through Islands, but when I was crusing on the HWY I did switched from Daily Driver to Race and could feel the firm Shift range from crusing to stepping on it. I do not know if it makes a difference because I started off using it. on my second Gen 2001 with the 47-RE I had the Full Billet Georend trans / Torque Convertor Billet Flex Plate etc.
and it shifted really Nice No -ehancer was required. Anyhow so far shifting and feel seem great with this new Trans Anybody looking to purchase a Solid ecellent condition Stock-48-RE with quality carring Case from Goerend, with only 36,800 on the truck / Trans Mint Condition

Flashing on startup is normal....if you change the level on the hwy, no diff...only when shifting gears

You might want to call DTT and talk to them. I wanted one with my new tranny but they did not recomend it at this time. I think they are making some changes or something.
