Is there anyway to know what is on my truck?
I just bought a 2004.5 5.9 with a six speed. Says 325 HP on valve cover. The truck doesn’t “roll coal” but there are definitely black puffs when running through the gears. The truck appears bone stock no lift, factory exhaust, no gauges, factory wheels, aftermarket air filter, etc.
I also own a 2020 ram with the 6.7 and a 2019 power stroke, both stock. This 2004 definitely has more power.
The guy I bought it from had it since 2010 and said the previous owner told him it had some kind of chip or tuner but he didn’t know any details.
Is there anyway to figure out what my truck has? I love it and don’t want to change a thing but I am curious what I have.
