testing dry and oiled filters
testing dry and oiled filters
Has anyone actually done any testing with the two to find out which one is better in the cold air systems like the amsoil dry to the s&b or even k&n oiled filters still looking at changing my oiled one out. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Don't think it is much with the performance is that the oil from the oiled filters gets sucked down the intake tubo in the turbo and makes a mess. The oil residue attracts dirt which eventually makes itself into the engine. Switched mine to Amsoil Nanofilter 4090 and love it.
I had a Airraid dropin and after 8000 miles, I pulled it to clean it.
The prefilter on it had gotten sucked up in the filter. None in the intake.
Got a Amsoil EaA 189 replacement and am very happy with it.
I believe there is a pic of the Airraid in my gallery.
