terrible squeaking noise

Ever since I put the westin step bars on my truck I have had a terrible squeaking noise coming from the mounting locations. It occurs about 15mph and under and is real bad going over speed bumps. Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so, is there anything that can be done do fix it?

check the body mount bolts. you will know which one is loose when you put a ratchet to it.

I had the same problem as you. I tightened everything down super tight and still had the problem. Tried everything I could think of. That's why I have my factory chrome Mopar steps on right now. They have a much superior mounting design in my opinion and no squeaks or movement when I step on them.

That's what I thought the problem was at first then I got under it at snugged everything up with an impact. That may have helped slightly but it still sounds terrible.

I'd try mounting some rubber washers in between the metal of the steps and the frame... worth a shot...
