Symptoms of tranny hunting.......I may have it
I talked to DTT a few weeks ago and they offer a electronic shift enhancer that can cure the shifting mishap
my question is has anyone used this product to solve this shifting problem

I found my tranny was hunting when he started dropping off dead animals at my door.
ON a more serious note, I have a 2-3 hunt and would like to try the DTT shift enhanser to eradicate the problem

I have a shift enhancer and it does help but it sure dont cure it. Worth the money IMO though
The shift enhanser doesn't tune the shift programming. It gives you programmable line pressure and pressure rise, and it seems to work pretty well.
It would require a programmer that could get into the PCM to completely alter the shift programming. There are tricks you can do to the VB to fool the programming mechanically, but that is a fix to the symptom and not really a fix to the whole problem.

I had the 1-2 hunting issue and while it took three visits to the dealer to get them to finally "recreate" the problem. Once they were able to get it to "hunt" they did perform the TSB, and it has fixed the issue.
I don't know about your dealers, but I had to get specific on when it would happen, including the truck's speed (15 MPH +/- 3 MPH), transmission temperature (both cold and normal operating temps) and the situations when it occurred (loaded and unoaded).
Until I finally held their hands and walked them through the problem, they couldn't figure it out. Sorry for venting, but it continually amazes me how poor customer service has become.

I spoke to my tranny builder he gave me to various scenarios to try
it would seem that this is a common problem on the 05 and up dew to that line pressure & shifting is controlled electronically.........which I believe him saying the TCM ?
One of his solutions was to disconnected all the battery terminals & touch the pos & neg cables for 15 mins to reset the ECM
Then reconnect the cables and drive the truck the same throttle when the hunting occurs to correct & relearn it self
But he also said the problem will eventually return
The other suggestion was to get the dealer to re flash the system, like that of EDR's ...............in hopes that my dealer is more cooperative than his
Bottom line is I think DODGE dropped the ball on this one because it seems to be an epidemic

You're absolutely right! Not to badmouth Dodge because I love the truck, but they really need to address the PCM programming on this issue. The 2-3 hunt is a very common problem.
