Suspension?

Hey all,

I am wondering if anybody has done any serious mods for the suspension. And what they did. Ive started to off road and haven a ball. Want to upgrade. I looked into the KOre setup. $$$$ four of those dollar sign seems to hurt a bit much. I want the truck to handle better on the street at the same time. It is my driver. It is a 05 quad cab 4x4

From what I've read and gathered on here, the Kore is the best to go with. Custom spring rates, custom shock valving, lots of work went into this system. Now, with that said, you could probably build your own setup just like their's for cheaper. Get a hold of member Cowhand. He's custom built his suspension and he can give you some ideas on how to build it right. Personally, I'm running the skyjacker 4.5" lift on mine and I'm liking it. The ride is a bit stiff but nothing to bad. It flexes decently and it handles like a dream. As good or better than stock.

You could build your own suspension cheaper with other components then KORE but I doubt if you will get the same performance.A lot of KORE suspension parts are specialy made for KORE and only available through them. Kent Kroeker and Greg Boardman have done extensive testing and in the long run will save you time and money.
It also depends on what type of off-roading you are into.If it's blasting down desert roads at speed you can't beat KORE.Not sure how well his suspension is for Rock Crawling.JMHO.

KORE sells a great product... but there are other options out there that can provide the same quality of ride and performance for significantly less money.

I haven't got all the bugs worked out of my KORE system yet, but the Carli Suspension (Sage Carli) system should be on the market, ready for install by now, and last I heard was substantially cheaper. And the guy really knows that Dodge 2500 suspension too.
