Stock turbo never spools!
Put on the 06 stock turbo on a stock 04.5 motor , the "w/g" conector wire to the turbo fits,
now the truck has no power, turbo doesnt spool, but it doesnt smoke at all,
So truck doesnt fuel! Max egts 300°F
to me it seems like the ecm recieves a 0 boost signal, therefore no fuel no power no boost!
now Does the boost signal come from the turbo housing?
but what do i know? i need help now!!
the truck has an edge/attitude but it doesnt work, except the gauges, so consider the truck stock...
Doesnt the edge have someting like a boost fooler, so the ecm would recieve that the turbo is making pressre, even the

he put the 04 sensor in the 06 turbo, so there shouldnt be any change...
BUT the check engine light came on, which never before has...
Tomorrow gonna check and clear the codes, could that solve the probl?

You computer has to see boost before it will add fuel, so if it is not seeing any boost then it will limit the fuel out put... I would start there (maybe a boost sensor)... I don't know if you could pressurize the sensor with a compressor and see if the truck will fuel then...

ECM gets it's boost readings from the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor mounted in the intake. Sorry I don't know of an easy way to test it. Why did you change turbos, did the other do the same?

the other turbo's fins where rubbing on the compressor housing, it was noisy, and the shaft was slightly bent
So my friend wanted another stock turbo, and the 06 turbo is all I found!
Anyway, PROBLEM IS SOLVED!
by unplugging the edge/attitude
after reading a map sensor error code!
Thanks for all your help!
