stock turbo drive pressure's w/tst turned up?
hey there everybody. now that i have the turboguard i dont have to worry about barking the stock turbo but i was curious to know if i was to cause any harm to anything due to extreme drive pressure's? im more inclined to turn the tst up now and run it a little harder than normal. usally run around w/ ez on middle setting and tst on 3/2. been turning it up to 4/2-5/2 to play in the rain am i safe as long as egt's are in check?

Napa, I think you're ok...I have 130,000 miles on my turbo....most with TST and alot of heavvvvvy towing. I run 4-7 x 5 or 6 towing. Empty I run up to 8x8 once the block is hot. My max temp is set to 1450. I only use the TST when power is needed, otherwise its on 1x5 for timing and boost fooling only. I'm auto though and I think autos are easier on the turbos as boost stays pretty constant. At WOT I peak at about 38 or 39 psi and drop to 34 which is at the maximum for my turbos efficiency map. I've towed hills where I was at 33psi and 1400 degrees the whole pull for maybe 2 minutes. Most times 1200 degrees with WOT on 5x5. ks
