With the modifications I've done, the 'filter minder' has always stayed on 0.

Just as an update, I've removed the filter and run my fingers inside the tube and it's squeeky clean. Not a single sign of dust in the slightest.

 

That is htrsy. I got the K&N not long after I got the truck, and figured after all the crap that gets thrown around about K&N, I'd run the box as-is for awhile, and see what happens. Same thing, the inside of the tube passes the white glove test...just figured I wasn't tooling around on enough dusty roads.

But, with your breathable box, I'd have to say the K&N does it's job, and I'll be safe to make her breate better. (My motto has always been that I don't mind paying to fix something that broke because of a choice I made...however, I hate trying to justify that to the wife...it's a good year or 2 till I hear the end of it, or at least until the NEXT thing that she rides me about! )

 

Lark did you ever run the K&N Filter with a stock air box? Did it pull down the filter minder any?
