Just had a look, nice job!
Can you give us some details? What diameter was the elbow you used, and what about the white piece to hold the screen in? What kind of screen?

Did you get anymore intake sound or whistle after the mod?

Like your foglights you added too.

I modified my air box on my 04. I put a 9 inch transmission cooling fan under my air filter pushing air through the filter. I had it set on a toggle switch or to come on with the ignition. I have a scan gauge which shows intake air temps. Opened up the bottom of the air box built a duct to the front. I didn't see enough difference in intake air temperature to take note. Only difference was less lagg at take off. This was all done with the stock intake and filter. Biggest difference was gained when I changed the exhaust out to a 4" and straight through muffler.

Very nice! I also like your trans. pan. I'll have to add that to the list.

If I remember correctly the black elbow was from HomeDepot. Its a 4" ABS drain
elbow. Used automotive adhesive to glue and seal it in. The screen is just nylon
house screen (just to catch the big stuff which actually works) and the white
piece was a PVC adapter also from HD. I sanded it to allow a tight fit with the
screen and elbow piece. Its quite, like stock, but it did seem to lower my EGT's slightly when towing so I know its working. The elbow catches cold air
next to the headlight and radiator. Never injested any water either.

My Cummins has 33K miles on it now and I still love it. With the Edge on level I
it has more than enough power to tow our 5th wheel up Colorado mountains all day without any problems. I just wish I had a exhaust brake for coming back down.

Just wondering if any of you guys that have modified your box can help me. I've modified my intake tube on my 04 getting rid of the stock tubing and replacing it with 4" tubing and rubber elbows. With a stock Fram filter that looked pretty clean my filter minder would hit 65% blocked when you stick your foot in it. I switched to the Amsoil Nano drop in replacement and now I'm down to 35% on showing on the filter minder. Question I have is it the box that is restricting it now or is that about the best I can expect to see out of that Nano filter?

What are you guys seeing on a K&N with a stock airbox on your filter minder?
