The problem I had was that my stock studs on the manifold were too short. I just backed them out until they did not stick out on the back side anymore and it worked great.

 

Yes the shorter ones work better, I was close to just adding a heavy lock washer on the longer studs and call it good but after a minute of thought... and the old ones broke loose from the 341 turbo fairly easy, it was a no brainer, I swapped them. I did not do as Dodgezilla said, but maybe I should have on the inner studs, but then again I used 24" of extension and a 20" breaker bar to tighten and they did tighten, so I think I'm good but will monitor.
