Stacks mock up *pics*
I mocked these up with ABS pipe, I'm thinking of doing 5" miter, so they will be just a touch larger OD than the pics, and chrome.
What is you honest opinion, does it look great, or like something is not quite right?

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
I am not a fan of stacks, and to see them on a work truck IMHO is even worse.
But honestly it's what YOU like and nobody else.

I'm running 6" stainless and let me tell you, stuff in the bed will catch fire if blown up against a super hot stack. Don't ask me how I know. LOL
I agree with the others, 5" is too small but 6" is just right. Oh, and stick with the miter cut, it's just down right sexy looking going down the road with a whisp of dark grey coming out.
Think about washing your truck stacks too, simple green takes the soot right off easily but where is all that water and soot going to run to? That's right... all over the stuff you have in the bed. As long as you're ok with that... it'll look awesome! The length is perfect too. Not so tall they catch on tree limbs and wires, etc. and not so short the smoke dumps on your back window. Nice work, now for the real deal...

^^^Agreed....I use to have a set of 6" miter cut stacks that looked RIGHT!!! They were the perfect diameter and height for my truck......I just never could find a muffler to quiet them down enough. My daughters car seat was right in front of them so I had to take them out and stash them out by the shed. At some point they WILL be going back on. I like the looks if they are done right. 6" will give you the look you want and the height was just about right!!!! Go for it!!

I agree, miter cut is the way to go. BUT, you might try some 7's or 8's. as posted above, its your truck, you might like those better. I would def. go with at least 6's. I'm not a big fan of stacks, but I like it on your truck because of the fact you wouldn't expect to see that with a work bed on it. Should look great.

Can someone tell me what happens when it rains really hard with those types of highrise exhaust pipes sticking up out of your truck ?
Does the exhaust fill with water ? Could it possibly fill to the point that it reaches the engine ?
Don't tractor trailers have the flappers on top that prevent rain & snow from being a problem ?
Just curious as to what prevents water accumulation?
