Stacks...
Ok.. Who has stacks?? Photos.. I'm trying to get some pics together to show the wife.. She wants stacks on our truck but doesn't know what kind she wants.. I need some pics to show her straight cut mitre cut and so on..
Did you guys split the pipe under the box or in the box.. do you get lopsided smoke if you don't split in the middle of the box but rather come up one side like I've seen some of the kits do??
5" or 4"???
Any advice you can give me..

I've ran 2 different mufflers, and ended up going straight piped. I have 5" stacks t'ing from the middle of the bed. I have a few pics in my photogallery. I've changed my truck up alot, and I've found that flat-top stacks are louder than turnouts. But there's nothing like the sound, I think it sounds GREAT, way better than just a 4" straight pipe under the bumper, that's for sure.

5" miter cut stacks, up through the middle of the bed with no muffler.
Towing can get noisy, to the point of not being able to hold a conversation in the cab depending on the weight, speed, and so forth. Around town driving, not bad at all. On the highway, it doesn't bother me.
If you are really serious, maybe looking up someone in your area with a stacked truck for a ride would be in order.
5" is pretty much the way to go due to parts availability and so forth. Not to mention that 5" "looks" proper on the trucks IMHO. Also, you can always add a muffler or resonator at a later date if the sound proves to be too much.
