SRT-10 EGT Gauge
SRT-10 EGT Gauge
Since I think I'm going to go the route of the SRT-10 Pillar mount and only have an EGT gauge, I was thinking of getting the SRT pyro Gauge as well. Here's a pic. How do you think it'd look, or are there suggestions for something better?
It appears to be an Autometer Ultra Lite with a SRT logo on it. I have been very happy with my Autometer gauges. Very fast response on the pyro. If is isn't too much more money than a regular Ultra Lite, go for it. Sounds like it will match your theme really well.
Hey Padzz,
I was just faced with this delima my self.....
I ordered the SRT 10 Gauge piller....... And went with an Isspro gauge.
Personally if the gauge from dodge is only 147.00 and it includes the sender, gauge, and wire, that's a good deal! Typically the gauges will be about 120 or so, then the sender (prob's) will run another 50....... plus wires........ so if it's 147 for everthing that's need, that's pretty good in my book.

I got my pyro gauge from Geno's for $120 for everything. You would have to live without the SRT logo though. If the SRT look is what you are going for, to me it is worth the extra $25. I would guess that the pillar is probably Autometer also. Again, if it already comes color matched, it may be worth a couple more bucks.

Well, I ordered the pillar and silver faced SRT-10 gauge. When I have it all in I'll take some nice pics and post them.
One question-If I want the light on the gauge to come on when I turn on the lights, where/how do I hook it to? I'm going to do everything but the actual drilling in the manifold, as that scares the heck outta me

Hi Padzz,
I installed my EGT using the SRT-10 piller Friday. The install took about 3 hours to complete. It was real tough... just time consuming.
The Dimmer Switch lead......
What I did was pop off the light controls. Found the dimmer lead and hooked the gauge lead into it. On one side of the plug that runs into the dimmer switch, there is only 2 wires. The one you need to hook to is the one on towards the Middle (empty slots by it).
For the switched power lead, I hooked into the colume harness..... you will want the "Pink" wire with the "yellow" stripe.
Drilling and taping....
You will deffenatly want to Drop the turbo a smidge and put some greased cardboard in between the manaifold and the turbo housing!!! As a test, I did that as well as used a Greased drill bit and greased Tap (keeped them greased very often) While they appeard to do a great job keeping "most' of the shavings out of the manifold I was very SHOCKED at how much was on the cardboard!!!! Lets just say I'm very happy the cardboard was there.....
Hope this info helps....
