Speed limiter?

How does everybody get rid of it. I have a smarty and thought it would but found out the other night for the first time when I got on a long road. It was pullin hard and wham! like I hit a wall at 108.

What version smarty program are you running that is your problem more then likely. No speed limiter thanks to smarty here.

Hmm. I'll have to check. I just got it about a month ago so it should be fairly recent.

You have to actually go and change that parameter. There is a selection that asks "speed limiter" then you program the mph you want. If you have to check for it, then you have not done it and so it is the stock limiter.

Plug in the smarty and look for that option... if you don't have it then download the latest file and it has it.

If you have a version that has the Speed Limiter option when you load a Smarty SW # it will have the option to change speed limiter first. I am not sure if the stock software versions have the SL option until you get to the Wild TM.

I thought so, just one of the S04s I sold and loaded on a truck for a friend did not have the SL option. I thought it was a Smarty I had loaded one of the later versions on, but must have been one with previous version before SL came out.

Just downloaded new software from mads site. Installed the USB driver but the sending program won't send the update. It says its not a smarty file.

Is it unzipped already? there is another thread here where AlpineRam posted the pictures for step by step downloading instructions... by far the easiest instructions to follow... Search for that thread in this forum.

Thanks. Now I got to get my FCA straightened out. Truck keeps surging bad so I've took it out about 3 times and sanded it, turned it 90', got it where it slides good and it still seems to be sticking somehow. I think it might have gone bad so I just ordered one from the dealership for $161. I'll try and get this one perfect before I put it in.
