SPA Technique Gauges Question

has anyone had issues with the electronics in these and had a problem with warranty coverage? i was told that the electronics were failing, whether it was the lighting or the actual gauge function. i just want to see what other people have experienced before i spend the money. the gauge i'm looking at buying is the dual EGT gauge. thanks in advance.

The only issues I have had with them is the backlights dont seem to last at least on some. Now mine are several years old (4 I think) and they may have fixed that problem. I had some of the original style then upgraded when they had a deal when they came out with the new style at the time. I have not heard of them changing them since but not sure. Again my only issue has been with the some of the backlights.

I have a dual etg/boost gage and the connector between the sensors and the unit went bad. It wasn't covered and I had to pay for it, but it was cheaper than buy someone elses gages. Everything is fine now, except before I put on my CFM+ intake, it seem like it would read the boost high at idle.

Another thing that is kinda scary, the sampling rate is vary fast on these gages and it reads spike in my egt's that wouldn't show up in an analog guage. It is possible to have a millisecond spike to 1800 where an analog guage would only read up to 1500.
