new clutch seems to be a little loud above 2000 rpm's. not sure how to describe the noise, kinda like a low moan. is this normal to be loud at first? i thought maybe it just needs to break in a bit.

my only noise is at idle with the new sb clutch. The disk rattles, it goes away at about 800 and up rpm- right off idle. Just sucks like in drive thoughs or bank tellers etc....

Question

Mine has a rattle to it too when the cluth isn't pushed in. Also It doesn't grab when I try to build some boost for a harder launch. Is that normal?

I have a slight whine if I lug it in a gear. Not a sound I heard with the stocker.

SBC OFE clutch

I installed one on my '03 and have not heard any additional noise. It is definitely more pedal pressure than the stocker. Nice engagement and I hope it is that way when towing.

I eventually going to replace the stock hydraulic clutch kit with the upgraded unit from SBC and I am having a heck of a time getting the clutch interlock electrical connector apart under the dash. I have tried pulling, pushing, and prying that little tab on the connector and I cannot get the connector apart. Any recommendations.

There is a difference between the OFE and the Con OFE right? One has springs and one doesn't? If you hav the Con O does if have a tendancy to grab and jerk since it doesn't have springs?

the o, ofe, and fe are the materials used. O= all organic materials used. OFE= organic on one side, and feramic on the other. FE= all feramic used.
