I looked all over for a clutch for my truck. I talked to a lot of people. So what about Southbend. They're friggin expensive and I'm a tight ***. Good combination right.

Listen to me. Don't waste your time. Call Southbend. They have got their act together. There is no hype. There is no fan club. They aren't cool. They don't send stickers in the boxes. I did get a key chain with a bottle opener in it. They make clutches and that's it. They do what they say they do. They don't up sell. They don't try to sell you the most expensive item.

I called and talked to them. Here's how it went.

"What are you doing with your truck?"
Pulling about 7000 pound and I put a Smarty Jr. on it.
"OK, you need an OFE."
How fast can you get it to St. Louis?
"Two days."
Wow. Can you get it here overnight?
"Sure for about 300 bucks. Let me see who's near you. Nashville might be able to save you some shipping."
Any cheaper from you?
"Nope. And you'll pay shipping from here."

So he gives me the number for Chris at Performance Diesel Products. And that phone call went the same way. He was $999 instead of Southbend's $1000. They were half the shipping and turned out UPS was next day regular shipping from them.

Those are two companies that have their stuff together. When was the last time anyone helped out a customer. And then I was sent to a dealer that actually had the part and could get it to me faster.

Blown away. I'll be bangin' the drum for Southbend and DPPI. Two companies that rock.

Nothing but good things to say about Peter, his service and product... My dual disk has been running great for over 30,000 miles now holding well over 500hp for every bit of it...

 

I loved my Southbend in my '97, held everything I threw at it, never slipped and shifted great.

DPPI also has some great customer service, bought my Edge Juice/Attitude from them back on the day and they hooked up the price for being a DTR/TDR member.

 

Peter is da man! Got almost 100k on my Con FE at 500+rwhp and still going strong!

 

I know this is sounding like a cheerleader thread, but it's all true. I just want to help those that are shopping for a clutch.

 

Peter is a great guy, he doesn't go into forums and sign up under false names trying to hawk his products. He doesn't lie, cheat or steal in an effort to make a sale he just runs his business in the same manner, day in and day out with honesty, integrity and the best customer support he can provide.

With South Bend you know the products are designed, tested and then built with the highest quality products money can buy just so they can provide you the end consumer your moneys worth.

Whats not to like about a company like that?
