Soot Level after by pass filter install
Have any of you running a by pass filter notice a drop in your soot levels? Before the by pass, 4100 on oil, I had 1.5%WT. After the filter install and 5000 on this sample, soot down to 0.8%WT...

Well, I have a bypass and do UOA's but unless I ask about soot specifically, they don't mention it. They do say my soot levels are at an acceptable level, this after 18,000 miles, but don't say how much. An indication is in the insolubles level too. Mine is at .3 for the 18k.
