When I started looking for a new truck I was warned to about the soot issues on the new 2008 6.7L engines. I bought a 2007.5 with 6.7L engine, dose this also have a soot or catylist filter?

Do all 6.7L engines have them or just to new 2008 trucks?

 

You have it, all 6.7 have the DPF ect...

Your best bet is to by a egr and DPF delete kit and be done with it.

 

I am weighing the benifets between removing and voiding warranty or just leaving alone.

 

Drive your truck hard on occasion and you may be just fine. It seems that most trucks with issues are not driven very hard. 07s definitely had more problems than the 08s...
